This hearing progressed smoothly and in a cordial manner. When asked by the judge if I had ever requested ADVANCED PAYMENT, I responded no.
Though advanced payment would be suitable in this case, he felt that he should not make a declarative ruling. Instead, he said that I should call IHSS today, and make this request.
Later that day, I called IHSS several times
and did receive a return phonecall message from Ms. Mason, Buc's IHSS case
worker. She left the message that she is on phone duty for the day
and to call her at this number (310) 312-7988. Though I called this
number repeatedly, no one ever answered again. This was still Tuesday,
the day of the hearing.
