Location:  Hawaiian Islands
 

Area Description:  The isolated island of Moloka'i.  One small town.  One movie theater.  Two electrical stoplights connected to two fire stations.  One of the most scenic drives in the world (29 miles).  Numerous Hawaiian fishponds.  One of the highest escarpments in the world where Jurassic Park was filmed in part.

People:   Population 7,000.  Mostly Christian (Catholic, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventists, Lutheran and Protestant) and some Hindu, Jewish, Buddhist and traditional native pagans.  Thirty nine churches.

Access:  Ninety minute ferry boat ride from Lahaina and small aircraft originating from Kahalui, Maui and Honolulu, Oahu.

Crime:  Virtually none except for petty thefts.  No rape nor crimes of violence.
Climate:  Mild.  Winter is temperate (60o through 87o).  Summer is warm (70o through 95o).

Job Description:  Complete patient care including personal hygiene, bathing, communications, physical exercise, home care and gardening.

Though this patient is an Equal Opportunity Employer, this position is restricted to girls between the ages of 16 years to 24 years.  You must have excellent habits of cleanliness, be in excellent physical shape and not overweight.  Certification is not require though references are a plus.

This is a minimum two year or more position.
 
This is a view of the Hawaiian Homelands across the street from where we purchased our property and built a small ohana (cottage).

The monthly salary offered is $400 at $6.50 per hour.  There are no additional benefits.  Additional hours may be traded for room and board, with some exceptions.
